A clear glass vase of cylindrical form, featuring a heavy mould-blown bark-effect texture to the exterior. The design is in the style of the Avena range, designed by Tapio Wirkkala for the Finnish manufacturer Iittala in the 1960s. The piece is constructed from flint glass with a weighted base and an unground, fire-polished rim. The exterior surface displays irregular vertical ridges and organic textures intended to mimic the appearance of tree bark or ice. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
