This is a hand-assembled and painted plastic scale model representing the Royal Navy vessel HMS MTB 74, a Vosper motor torpedo boat famously used in the St Nazaire Raid. The model is likely constructed from the Italeri 1/35 scale kit (ref 5624). The exterior is finished in a multi-tone grey and black dazzle camouflage scheme. Markings include the hull number 74 on the port bow and a lifebuoy inscribed with the letters HMS on the bridge side. The deck configuration features four torpedo tubes, including the characteristic forward-mounted tubes designed to fire over the bow. The detailed open bridge area includes a ship’s wheel, binnacle, and compass, with an inflatable life raft situated on the mid-deck. The stern features four brass-toned propellers and four matching rudders. The boat is presented on a grey plastic cradle display stand.
Scale: 1/35.
