A large-scale static display model of the LNER Class A3 steam locomotive, number 4472, Flying Scotsman, and its matching four-axle tender. This set is attributed to Lesser & Pavey Ltd and is constructed from painted tinplate and wireframe. The model is finished in traditional LNER apple green livery with a black smoke box and red buffer beams. The locomotive features curved nameplates inscribed FLYING SCOTSMAN above the driving wheels, with the number 4472 applied to the cab sides and a plate on the front buffer beam. The tender is marked with large yellow L N E R lettering. The pieces are executed in a decorative style with an intentionally distressed and weathered finish, including simulated rust and paint wear. Physical details include simple wire handrails, a decorative chain on the front buffer beam, and generic undercarriage frames. This is a non-mechanical display piece.
