A mid-20th century art glass vase of tall, slender, and slightly tapered cylindrical form. The piece is crafted in a vibrant mid-blue glass and features a substantial, weighted base. This vase is characteristic of mid-century Scandinavian design, specifically resembling the work of Bo Borgstrom for Aseda, Sweden, although it remains unmarked. The glass is mouth-blown, as evidenced by occasional small internal seeds trapped within the metal. It has a flat, polished rim and the base is ground and polished, showing a smooth, slightly recessed centre and light surface wear consistent with age.
