This hand-blown art glass vase is of mid-century modern design and sculptural organic form, attributed to Josef Hospodka for the Chribska glassworks of Bohemia. The piece utilises a casing technique, with a deep ruby red glass core encased within a thick outer layer of clear glass. The body is worked into a series of pulled, swirling lobes and deep vertical undulations. The vase sits on a substantial clear glass base which has been ground and polished flat. Unsigned.
