Two open-face pocket watches and five folding pocket knives. The first pocket watch is a Victorian silver key-wind example featuring a white enamel dial with Roman numeral hour markers and a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock. The case interior is hallmarked for Chester, 1891, with the maker’s mark JG, attributed to John Gaskell. A brass and steel watch key is included. The second pocket watch is a stem-wind model with a white enamel dial in a dark oxidised metal case, possibly gunmetal. The five folding pocket knives include one multi-tool with aged bone or horn scales and a corkscrew; two penknives with metal scales, one with engine-turned decoration and a lanyard ring, and one with cross-hatched texturing; and two penknives with cream-coloured scales, likely ivorine or bone. No maker’s marks are visible on the blades.
