A mid-20th-century miniature bracket-style mantel clock manufactured by the English firm Elliott and retailed by Garrard and Co. Ltd. The clock is housed in a dark wood case, possibly mahogany or walnut, featuring a caddy top with a brass swing carrying handle and standing on four small brass bracket feet. The square brass dial plate is decorated with gilt-metal cherub spandrels at the corners. It features a silvered chapter ring with black Roman numeral hour markers and an outer track with Arabic minute numerals. The dial is set with ornate black pierced hands and is signed for the retailer Garrard and Co. Ltd. 112, Regent Street, London and indicates it is An Elliott Clock. The lower edge of the chapter ring is marked Made in England. The rear of the clock has a circular black cover with the Elliott stylized E logo, a central hand-setting knob, and a regulation slot marked S and F. The movement is a mechanical timepiece movement.
