A varied collection of promotional items and kitchenalia featuring Fred, the mascot for Homepride Flour. The group includes items primarily dating from the late 1970s. Included in the collection is a circular glass wall clock featuring a pastoral farm scene with multiple Fred characters tending to cattle and sheep. The clock is fitted with black hands and a battery-powered movement to the reverse.
The assortment also contains two fabric aprons; one blue and white featuring the slogan make it with Homepride FLOUR and the brand logo, and another white apron featuring a large central graphic of Fred. A boxed set of four glass coasters by The Glass Company (UK) is present, featuring different kitchen scenes and described as anti-bacterial and dishwasher safe.
Paper ephemera and publications include Homepride’s Weekend Cookbook and a booklet titled The Flour Graders’ Guide to Better Baking. A Gingerfred Recipe sheet is included, dated Spillers Foods Ltd 1979, alongside a pack of Crowndal Cake Frills greaseproof liners by The Atlas Lace Paper Co Ltd. Completing the collection are two Fred-shaped plastic items, likely refrigerator magnets or pastry cutters. Many items bear the official Homepride Flour logo.
