A vintage Lotus De Luxe double-strand graduated simulated pearl necklace. The necklace consists of two strands of cream-coloured simulated pearls, graduated in size with the largest pearls positioned at the centre. The strands are joined by an ornate sterling silver box clasp of scrolled openwork design, pavé-set with marcasite stones and fitted with a safety chain. The reverse of the clasp is stamped with the maker’s mark LOTUS, STERLING SILVER, and MADE IN ENGLAND. The necklace is presented in its original maroon velvet-covered case. The lid of the case features a gold-tone metal emblem consisting of a stylised letter L and a lotus flower. The interior of the case is lined with cream satin to the lid, which is printed with the Lotus de luxe name and emblem, and a fitted beige plush velvet base.
