A tall lampworked glass sculpture featuring a whimsical animal narrative. The piece is constructed with a central spirally-twisted pale blue glass stem supported by a dark blue tripod base. At the base, a stylised cobalt blue dog with pale blue ears is depicted with its front legs resting against the column. The top of the stem features a horizontal arm upon which stands a black glass cat with wide white and red eyes. Adjacent to the cat is a clear glass spherical fishbowl containing a small orange fish, finished with a white glass cap. The sculpture is created using flameworking techniques, evidenced by the delicate, elongated limbs and the intricate assembly of various coloured glass components. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels were observed during inspection.
