This lot comprises two pieces of promotional glazed cream earthenware produced for the Lurpak butter brand, featuring the mascot Douglas. The first item is a four-slot toast rack with arched dividers. A moulded ceramic figure of Douglas is integrated into the right-hand divider, and a spherical finial is positioned atop the second divider. The front of the base features the Lurpak name and brand logo in blue and red transfer print. The second item is a rectangular butter dish consisting of a base tray and a fitted cover. The cover is surmounted by a moulded ceramic handle in the form of a reclining Douglas figure. The front face of the cover features the Lurpak name and brand logo in blue and red transfer print, with the ribbon in the logo containing the text Since 1901. Both pieces feature moulded, raised lettering on the underside which reads Made exclusively for Lurpak, followed by the international food-safe symbol of a wine glass and fork.
