This is a circular white metal presentation quaich, a traditional Scottish two-handled drinking vessel. The item features two cast openwork handles, or lugs, decorated with intricate Celtic knotwork designs. A matching band of embossed Celtic knotwork ornament circles the upper part of the bowl. The vessel is constructed with a slightly flared rim and is supported by a pedestal foot. Based on visual characteristics and web research consensus, the material is pewter. There are no visible sterling silver hallmarks or maker marks. The underside of the bowl bears a modern machine-engraved presentation inscription that reads: THANK YOU / ERIC MOORE / INSTALLATION 23.4.16 / STUART CLARK.
