This lot comprises two commemorative items: a United Nations-themed Zippo lighter and a multi-complication wristwatch by Astro. The lighter is a genuine Zippo (U.S.A.) featuring a brushed chrome finish, housed in its original black plastic display stand which is embossed with ZIPPO U.S.A. LIGHTER and LIFETIME GUARANTEE. The front of the lighter is decorated with blue printed insignia for MINURSO (Mission for the Referendum in Western Sahara), including the mission title in English and Arabic (مينورسو), the United Nations emblem, and the text CIVPOL / WESTERN SAHARA.
The wristwatch is a two-tone stainless steel and gold-tone model by Astro. The black dial features gold-tone Arabic numerals at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 positions, with tapered wedge markers at the remaining hours. The timepiece features several complications including day and month apertures below the 12 o’clock position (currently displaying FRI and MAR), a pointer date indicated by a red-tipped central hand on a 1-31 outer track, and a moon phase aperture positioned above 6 o’clock. The dial is signed with a globe logo and the brand name ASTRO. The screw-down case back is engraved with a central globe logo and the surrounding text STAINLESS STEEL, WATERPROOF 5 ATM, and MINERAL CRYSTAL. The watch is fitted with a two-tone (silver and gold-tone) integrated link bracelet with a fold-over clasp.
