A vintage 9 carat yellow gold ring featuring a centrally set oval shell cameo. The cameo is carved in relief, depicting the left-facing profile of a woman with styled hair, showing a classic contrast between a pinkish-orange background and a white figure. It is secured in a bezel setting surrounded by a decorative twisted rope-work border. The ring is designed with bifurcated shoulders that taper into a solid band. The interior of the band features a full set of British hallmarks, including the maker mark T&R.B for T and R Bennett, the anchor symbol for the Birmingham Assay Office, the 375 gold fineness mark, and the date letter b, corresponding to the year 1976.
