Buyer's Premium:

A small Chinese provincial blue and white porcelain tea bowl or wine cup, likely dating from the 17th century to the early 18th century (Late Ming to early Qing Dynasty). The bowl is of deep, rounded form rising from a short, unglazed foot rim. The exterior is decorated in underglaze blue with a series of panels defined by vertical wavy lines. Each panel contains a stylised floral spray, possibly representing a peony or chrysanthemum, with accompanying foliage and buds. The interior features a central medallion containing a similar floral spray within double concentric rings. Around the inner rim is a wide decorative border of a hatched lattice or criss-cross pattern. The glaze has a characteristic greyish-white tint, with minor pitting and kiln grit (iron spots) visible, typical of provincial Minyao manufacture of the period. The base is glazed and shows no reign marks or other characters.
