This lot comprises a pair of antique edged weapons, featuring a Sheffield-made Bowie knife and a distinctive dirk-style dagger. The first item is a Bowie knife configured with a single-edged clip-point blade and a simple oval metal crossguard. The ricasso of the blade is stamped with the verbatim text: WARRANTED HAND FORGED SHEFFIELD. The handle is constructed from two-piece natural bone or ivory scales, secured to the tang by four pins, exhibiting a yellowed patina. The second weapon is a dirk-style dagger featuring a long, tapered metal blade of flat section. It is fitted with a decorative S-scroll flat metal crossguard and a bulbous, turned dark wood handle. Both items display significant surface rust and oxidation across all metal surfaces.
