A George III sterling silver bowl of circular form, produced by the silversmith Thomas Watson. The body is decorated with wide vertical fluting or gadrooning to the lower section, situated below a plain polished band and a reeded border at the rim. The bowl is supported by three applied spherical ball feet. The exterior is struck with a complete set of Sheffield hallmarks, comprising the maker mark TW in a rectangular punch for Thomas Watson, the crown assay office mark, the lion passant indicating .925 sterling silver, a lowercase o date letter for 1807, and the duty mark of King George III.
