A single-strand necklace featuring a graduated row of pearls. The beads are individually knotted on a dark-coloured thread. The necklace is secured with a rectangular box clasp made of 9ct yellow gold, featuring an engine-turned sunburst pattern and a side safety catch. The clasp bears full British hallmarks on the reverse.
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker mark A.L.D for A.L. Dennison, a crown and 375 for 9 carat gold purity, a leopard’s head for the London Assay Office, and a lowercase g in a square cartouche, indicating the year 1962.
