This Arts and Crafts period pewter dish is from the Tudric range produced for Liberty and Co, featuring a design attributed to Archibald Knox. The dish is of shallow oval form with two integral scrolled handles. At the centre is a circular translucent enamel roundel showing a graduated colour shift from deep cobalt blue at the perimeter to a mottled green at the core. The underside is stamped with several marks including MADE IN ENGLAND, BCM / TUDRIC, and the model number 01497. The presence of the BCM (British Commercial Monomark) suggests a production date from approximately 1925 onwards. Hand-scratched inventory marks are also visible to the base reading P 2/16/14 CL/N.
