A decorative mid-20th century painting by the artist Vichitr, depicting a traditional Thai classical dancer in ceremonial attire. The work is executed in gouache or acrylic on a black velvet support, which provides a high-contrast background for the central figure. The dancer is portrayed in a traditional pose, wearing an ornate gold pointed chada headdress, an embroidered green bodice with a beaded white collar, and a gold-toned sarong accented with red and teal sashes.
