This collection comprises multiple Masonic tokens and commemorative medals, primarily identified as Scottish Mark Pennies, presented in a navy blue velvet-lined display tray. The pieces are struck in copper-based alloys, including bronze and brass, with select examples featuring coloured enamel detailing. The group includes tokens from various lodges such as Lodge Blantyre Kilwinning No. 557, The Lodge of Light No. 1656 (founded 7-5-70), Lodge Dunedin Caritas No. 1316, Lodge Saint Columba – Edinburgh No. 1294, and Lodge St. Columba No. 729. One specific specimen depicts the Apprentice Pillar from Rosslyn Chapel and is inscribed ROSSLYN ST CLAIR ROSLIN No. 606. A commemorative piece is inscribed ROBERT BURNS – INITIATED – 1781 with the central phrase BRITHERS A’. Many tokens feature the standard Masonic Mark reverse legend THEY RECEIVED EVERY MAN A PENNY surrounding a central square containing a triangle and the characters HTWSSTKS. Symbols represented across the collection include the square and compasses, levels, trowels, and specific lodge emblems.
