A collection of Masonic mark pennies and commemorative lodge tokens, primarily associated with various Scottish lodges under the Grand Lodge of Scotland. The tokens are struck in various base metals, including bronze-toned, brass-toned, and copper-toned alloys. Several examples feature decorative enamelling in blue, green, and red. The obverse designs display lodge-specific iconography, names, and numbers. Identified lodges include Lodge of Melrose St John No. 1 bis, Lodge Canongate and Leith No. 5, Lodge St John Kilwinning No. 57, Lodge of Kelso No. 58, Dunse Lodge No. 23, Lodge of Dunbar Castle No. 75, Hawick Lodge No. 111, Shettleston St John No. 128, Lodge St Luke No. 132, Lodge of Old Aberdeen No. 164, Lodge St George No. 190, Lodge Forfar and Kincardine No. 225, The Hamilton Lodge No. 233, Lodge Fraser No. 267, Lodge St John No. 280 Coldstream, Lodge Robert Burns No. 440, Lodge St James Border Union No. 424, and Lodge Dunoon Argyll No. 335. Many reverses bear the standard Royal Arch mnemonic HTWSSTKS within a keystone or triangular motif, surrounded by the legend THEY RECEIVED EVERY MAN A PENNY. Notable symbolic elements include the square and compasses, the all-seeing eye, architectural pillars, and heraldic crests. One token features the Latin inscription PROCUL ESTE PROFANI. The collection is housed in a blue velvet-lined display tray.
