A mid-20th century advertising point-of-sale display sign for Brylcreem hair dressing. The piece is constructed as a reverse-printed clear glass panel, a common technique for durable commercial signage where the graphics and colours are applied to the rear surface. The central design depicts a white Brylcreem jar with a black lid, set against a saturated red field with a white linear border. The jar label includes the brand name BRYLCREEM in bold black sans-serif type on a white band, topped with a circular monogram and the words THE PERFECT HAIRDRESSING. Additional small text reads The pure emulsified oils and tonic ingredients ensure good appearance and healthy hair. The base of the label is marked MADE IN ENGLAND and COUNTY PERFUMERY CO LTD LONDON ENGLAND.
