This vintage art glass figurine is designed in the style of mid-century Murano glass from Italy. The piece features a tall, slender body composed of clear glass with internalised vertical trails of multicoloured glass in shades of blue, yellow, red, green, and white. The clown is detailed with two applied black glass buttons on the torso and oversized, flat circular green glass hands attached to white glass sleeves. The head is adorned with crimped yellow glass hair and a pointed blue glass hat, while the face is rendered in red and white glass with black eyes. A green glass ruff or collar surrounds the neck. The figure stands on large, flat polished black glass feet. On the reverse, a clear glass loop detail is present. No maker’s marks or factory labels are visible on the base or body of the item.
