This artwork is a contemporary mixed media collage on yellow lined paper by the artist Michel Keck. The piece presents a stylized pop-art portrait of a pug, meticulously constructed from fragments of cut and torn printed ephemera. These collage elements include various patterns such as checkerboards, polka dots, and target motifs, as well as fragments of paper containing German text. The composition is further defined by hand-drawn black ink linework which outlines the animal’s features and whiskers. The work is signed Keck in black ink in the lower right-hand corner. The piece is housed in a modern decorative frame featuring a white inner bevel and an outer border composed of black mirrored glass panels. The frame retains its clear plastic protective corners.
