A set of five framed artworks executed in pen, ink, and watercolour washes on paper by the artist William Bill Papas 1927-2000. Each piece depicts a different cultural or historical location in Israel and is titled in the artist’s hand. The locations include the coastal city of Akko featuring the Al-Jazzar Mosque and harbour, the Bedouin Market in Beersheba with figures in traditional dress and Israeli flags, a view of the Tel Aviv coastline from Old Jaffa with Saint Peter’s Church, a street scene in the Mea Shearim neighbourhood of Jerusalem with figures in traditional Haredi dress, and a market scene in Nazareth with the Basilica of the Annunciation. Each work is signed Papas in the lower right corner alongside its respective location title. The artworks are presented in light-coloured wooden or laminate frames with mounts under glass.
