This lot features two vintage mechanical clocks of different designs and origins. The first is a German 400-day torsion mantel clock, frequently referred to as an anniversary clock. It is constructed with a brass frame and twin pillars mounted on a stepped circular metal base, all housed under a removable glass dome. The mechanical movement utilizes a four-ball rotating pendulum and features a white circular dial with black Arabic numerals and a beaded brass bezel. The dial is marked Germany at the base, and the movement backplate is stamped Made in Germany with the serial number 155656. The second item is a Westclox Spur desktop alarm clock. The piece has a square, cream-painted metal case with an integrated single-foot stand. The square cream dial displays stylized Arabic numerals, black hands, and a dedicated alarm-setting sub-dial at the twelve o’clock position. The dial is marked Westclox to the centre and Made in USA along the bottom edge, while the reverse is stamped Spur and retains its original winding keys and control knobs.
Torsion clock height: 30cm
Westclox dimensions: 12cm x 12cm.
