A vintage wooden decorative keepsake box featuring a hand-carved lid ornament of three dogs. The carving depicts a family of Pekingese dogs, comprising an adult and two puppies, with textured coats and detailed facial features. The box is constructed with dark, figured hardwood sides joined with visible finger joints at the corners. The top surface of the hinged lid is made from a contrasting lighter wood. The interior shows an unfinished light wood base. The carved figure is matched in tone to the sides of the box. No maker’s marks or signatures are present.
