An antique pedestal-style telephone originally produced for Kjøbenhavns Telefon Aktieselskab (KTAS) and subsequently refurbished by Expoga Danmark. The telephone features a black enamelled metal cabinet decorated with gold-tone transfer scrollwork and border motifs. The front is fitted with a ten-hole rotary dial including numerical and alphabetical characters, featuring a central medallion with a crowned crest. The unit is equipped with a side-mounted hand crank and a top-mounted toggle switch marked ON and OFF. The handset, which rests on a nickel-plated cradle, has an ebonised central handle and a receiver plate embossed with the text KJØBENHAVNS TELEFON AKTIESELSKAB. The perforated base plate reveals modern plastic-coated internal wiring in various colours, and bears a label identifying the piece as The Only Original Antique Copenhagen Telephone from EXPOGA DANMARK. It includes a period-style brown fabric-wrapped cord.
