Buyer's Premium:

An antique hand-blown glass cylinder bottle, likely intended for mineral water, bitter water, or spirits. The vessel is manufactured from a deep olive green glass and features a cylindrical body with a rounded shoulder leading to a long neck. The neck terminates in a thick, applied blob top or collar finish. The glass displays characteristic 19th-century manufacturing features, including numerous seeds (small air bubbles) and slight surface irregularities. The base of the bottle exhibits a prominent snapped or sand pontil scar, confirming it was hand-finished. A rectangular paper inventory label is affixed to the base, providing provenance from the collection of S. T. Swaddle of Whitley Bay, Northumberland, and includes handwritten reference numbers F. F. 1208 and F. F. 11076. While the form strongly resembles bottles used for Hunyadi Janos Bitterquelle, this specific example is unembossed.
