This lot comprises a collection of three vintage medical and pharmaceutical vessels of Swedish and German origin.
1. Swedish Enamel Irrigation Can
A cylindrical white enameled steel vessel designed for gravity-fed medical use. It features a dark blue rim, an integral hanging loop at the top, and a small outlet spout at the base. The front retains a hexagonal paper label reading GENUINE SWEDISH WHITE ENAMELLED WARE, K.E.R, and GUARANTEED PURE AND OF HIGHEST QUALITY. The base is stamped in blue ink with the KOCKUMS SWEDEN logo and the letters K.E.R.
2. Large Apothecary Urn attributed to Herr Keramik
A decorative ceramic urn on a pedestal base with a crackle-glaze finish. The body is decorated with a hand-painted heart-shaped cartouche inscribed EL. THERIACUM, referring to the historical electuary of Theriac. The vessel features two applied handles in the form of stylized masks and a fitted lid topped with a finial depicting two frogs. The base bears handwritten markings including the initials A H, a cross atop a hill symbol over two wavy lines, and the number 73.
3. Small Apothecary Jar attributed to Herr Keramik
A cylindrical ceramic jar with a fitted lid, decorated with hand-painted floral sprigs and swags. The central cartouche is inscribed U SIMPLEX, denoting Unguentum Simplex or simple ointment. The vessel features a crackle-glaze finish consistent with the larger urn.
Enamel can capacity: 1 litre.
