Buyer's Premium:

This lot comprises two antique mechanical clocks, featuring a German carriage clock and a circular desk clock with an exposed movement.

The carriage clock is housed in a rectangular silver-toned metal case, likely silver-plated brass, with beveled glass side panels and a folding handle to the top. The front of the clock features an ornate gilt faceplate with scrolled foliate engraving surrounding a circular white dial. The dial is marked with black Roman numeral hour markers, spade hands, and the crossed arrows trademark of the German manufacturer Junghans below the centre arbor. The rear of the case includes a hinged door that opens to reveal the movement and a dedicated clip holding a winding key.

The second item is a skeletonised desk clock with a circular metal case featuring a dark, aged patina. It is supported by two small peg feet and topped with a decorative scroll handle. The movement is visible through the front glass, displaying brass plates and gears with black spade hands. The exterior backplate is incised with the text PATENTED JAN 9 1917, a date associated with movements produced by the Western Clock Mfg. Co. (Westclox).
