A graduated set of three antique cider measures or dippers, typical of 19th or early 20th-century utilitarian cellarware from the West Country and other cider-producing regions. Each vessel is constructed with a tapered copper body, a flared base, and a folded rim, showing evidence of hand-formed manufacture with a vertical seam. The interiors are tinned to prevent reaction with acidic liquids. The long, slender handles are made of wrought iron, secured to the bodies with rivets and terminating in scrolled hooks for hanging. Each measure is fitted with a rectangular brass identification plaque applied to the front; the two smaller vessels are clearly inscribed CIDER, while the largest plaque shows the letters DER with the preceding characters partially obscured.
