A pair of sterling silver candlesticks featuring baluster-form columns with flared nozzles, set upon circular stepped and loaded bases. The bases are weighted with a non-precious core to provide stability. Each candlestick is clearly struck with a full set of English hallmarks including the maker’s mark S&M for Sanders & Mackenzie, the anchor for the Birmingham Assay Office, the lion passant for sterling silver, and the date letter u for 1969.
