A carved wood crucifix produced by the ANRI studios of South Tyrol, Italy. The piece features a naturalistically rendered corpus of Christ mounted upon a straight-grained, dark-toned hardwood cross. The figure is detailed with defined musculature, a crown of thorns, and a draped perizonium, secured to the cross by three dark-finished nails. An INRI title scroll is affixed to the vertical beam above the head, with the letters incised into the carved surface. The reverse of the cross bears a small adhesive label with a green copyright symbol followed by the letters ANRI, identifying the manufacturer. A recessed screw hole is located on the reverse for wall mounting.
