A contemporary cast bronze sculpture of a small bird, possibly a wren or sparrow, depicted in a resting pose with its wings tucked and tail slightly elevated. The work is executed in a tactile, impressionistic style, featuring visible tool and finger-modelling marks across the surface. A small, dark bead-like inset forms the eye. The sculpture is finished with a variegated dark brown patina. The underside of the piece is flat-ground with visible parallel finishing marks and lacks any visible signatures, foundry marks, or edition numbers.
