A pair of Victorian emerald green glass ewers featuring hand-painted white enamel decoration. Each vessel is hand-blown from transparent green glass with a bulbous body, tapering neck, and a ruffled trefoil-shaped rim. The pitchers feature applied clear glass handles. The decoration depicts a child in profile within a landscape: one jug features a girl in a hat carrying a basket of flowers, and the other depicts a boy holding a small flowering sprig. The figures are rendered in opaque white enamel with fine detailing. The bases are finished with rough, snapped-off pontil marks. The base of one jug features handwritten characters in red pigment reading 36. and the other features 10.
