A contemporary slip-cast porcelain bowl by the British ceramicist Sasha Wardell, who specialises in fine bone china works. The bowl is of tapered circular form with a narrow base. The exterior surface features a matte blue finish with a repeating pattern of overlapping concentric circular motifs in graduated tones of white and light blue, a design achieved through the artist’s signature use of airbrushing and resist techniques. The interior is finished with a smooth, glossy white glaze. The underside is affixed with a circular paper label bearing the handwritten notations 5889V and Sarah Wardell.
