A miniature chest-on-chest in the George III style, constructed in two sections from solid oak with a dark stained finish. The upper section contains two full-width drawers beneath a flat top with a moulded edge. The lower section houses a further two full-width drawers, separated by a mid-moulding and supported by a thick moulded plinth base. The drawer boxes are assembled using simple nailed construction. The reverse of the piece features a back composed of four horizontal oak boards secured with flush-headed nails. Each drawer is fitted with a pair of brass drop handles on decorative batwing style backplates. There are no maker marks, labels, or signatures present on the exterior, interior, or underside of the piece.
