A William Moorcroft earthenware bowl of circular footed form with a flared rim. The interior is finished in a mottled dark green glaze and decorated with a central tubelined orchid motif in shades of plum, blue, ochre, and yellow. The exterior features a dark green to near-black monochrome glaze. The underside of the foot bears a black stamped ENGLAND mark and a two-line POTTER TO H.M. THE QUEEN Royal Warrant stamp, alongside a hand-painted script signature in blue-black ink for William Moorcroft.
