A mid-20th century British nurse’s cloak manufactured by Garroulds. The garment is constructed from heavyweight navy blue wool with a contrasting scarlet red wool-blend lining. It features a traditional pointed collar in navy blue and a full, flared cape silhouette. The interior includes scarlet red webbing straps designed to cross over the chest and fasten with red plastic buttons at the rear to secure the garment. A short metal zip closure is situated at the neckline. The interior scarlet lining bears a white woven manufacturer’s label which reads GARROULDS THE UNIFORM CENTRE LONDON. The label includes a printed section for NAME, inscribed with B. SMITH in blue ink, and a section for SIZE which remains blank.
