A comprehensive silver plated flatware service for twelve in the Kings pattern, a traditional design with honeysuckle and shell motifs and scrolled foliage. The set includes table knives, dessert knives, table forks, dessert forks, soup spoons, dessert spoons, and teaspoons, along with a larger serving piece. The knife blades are etched with Smith Seymour Ltd. Sheffield and STAINLESS STEEL. The service is housed within a tiered, dark-stained wooden canteen lined in grey fabric. The canteen features a repeating carved foliate border to the base, bracket feet, and an unengraved brass cartouche on the lid. A label to the interior base reads THE NORTHERN GOLDSMITHS CO NEWCASTLE.
