A collection of mid-twentieth century ceramics comprising a partial tea service, lustre-glazed decorative pieces, and two character figurines. The tea service is crafted from porcelain with a matte black ground, decorated with gilded Chinoiserie landscapes depicting pagodas, trees, and birds. This set includes a lidded teapot with a gilded ball finial, a twin-handled lidded sugar bowl, a cream jug, six cups with gilded interiors, and six matching saucers. The lustreware group features a tall tapered vase with a flared rim and circular foot, decorated with floral motifs on a deep cobalt purple lustre ground with gilded accents. Also included are two small circular bowls, one with a floral interior on a blue ground and the second with a polychrome iridescent finish and foliate motifs. The collection is completed by two Royal Doulton bone china figurines: The Old Balloon Seller (HN 1315), depicting a seated woman in a black shawl with a basket of flowers, and Top o the Hill (HN 1834), depicting a young woman in a wind-swept red crinoline dress and a green-lined hat.
