A collection of seven Victorian and early 20th-century emerald green glass apothecary or poison bottles. The group comprises mold-blown glass vessels of varying sizes, including tall rectangular forms and shorter square or hexagonal based examples. Six of the bottles feature vertical fluted ribbing on three sides, a tactile design element characteristic of the period intended to identify hazardous contents by touch in low light conditions. One bottle is embossed with vertical lettering to the front face reading NOT TO BE TAKEN. All examples feature flared lipped rims and display a vibrant emerald green colour.
Height: 5cm – 18cm.
