A vintage LEGO System construction toy set, specifically identified as the Gift Package Set 700/0, dating from approximately 1960. The collection is housed within its original partitioned wooden storage box which contains a secondary nested wooden tray. The lid serves as a dual-purpose board, featuring a full-colour lithographic illustration of children playing on the exterior and a printed town play mat on the reverse with printed text including HALT, CAR PARK, and BUS STOP. The set comprises a large quantity of early plastic bricks in red and white, including various rectangular and square dimensions. Many bricks bear the LEGO mark on the individual studs. Additional components include early-style red-framed windows with transparent inserts, red roof tiles, and red plastic wheel hubs fitted with black rubber tyres. A small blue plastic truck and several white architectural elements are present. A separate promotional board depicts various model build ideas such as a lighthouse, windmill, and the MS LEGO ship, alongside a display of national flags including the United Kingdom, USA, Denmark, and West Germany.
