A collection of four themed die-cast model aircraft sets by Atlas Editions, each containing a pair of historically significant aircraft from World War II campaigns. The models are constructed from die-cast metal with plastic components including canopies, propellers, and antennae. Each set is housed in its original polystyrene inner tray and white cardboard outer mailer, complete with two printed black plastic triangular display stands. The collection includes the following sets:
Defending the Reich (Box 3 909 010) featuring a Messerschmitt Bf 110G night fighter in matte black and a Supermarine Spitfire Night Fighter in Royal Air Force black livery.
Pearl Harbor 1941 (Box 3 909 013) featuring a Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero in Imperial Japanese Navy pale grey and a Douglas SBD Dauntless in US Navy blue-grey.
North Africa Campaign (Box 3 909 006) featuring a desert-camouflaged Messerschmitt Bf 110G and a Curtiss P-40E Kittyhawk with shark mouth nose art. Note the display stand for the P-40 is printed with the misspelling Curtis.
The Battle of Okinawa 1945 (Box 4 909 023) featuring a Kawanishi N1K2 Shinden-Kai in dark green and a USAAF Republic P-47D Thunderbolt in olive drab with white tail bands.
All models are approximately 1:72 scale.
