A collection of Atlas Editions die-cast model aircraft from the Fighter Aces series, or similar historical combat ranges. The collection comprises four themed pairings of WWII aircraft, each presented in original white polystyrene protective trays with plain grey-brown cardboard lids. The models are constructed from die-cast metal with plastic detailing and accessories.
The collection features the following historical pairings:
Defence of the Reich: Comprising a North American Mustang P-51D in silver livery with blue nose markings (Serial 472216) and a Focke-Wulf FW 190A-5 in green camouflage with a red fuselage band.
Dunkirk 1940: Comprising a Hawker Hurricane Mk I in brown and green camouflage with RAF roundels and a Junkers Ju 87B Stuka in dark green splinter camouflage with Luftwaffe markings.
Russian Front Kursk: Comprising a Focke-Wulf FW 190A-4 in winter white and grey camouflage and a Lavochkin La-7 in grey camouflage with Soviet red star markings.
The Siege of Leningrad 1942: Comprising a Messerschmitt Bf 109F in green and white camouflage and a Curtis P-40E Kittyhawk in brown and green camouflage with Soviet markings.
Each themed pair includes two black plastic triangular display stands with white printed text identifying the conflict and the specific aircraft model. The cardboard lids feature the Atlas Editions logo and individual serial numbers: 3 909 003, 3 909 002, 3 909 009, and 4 909 018.
