A British sterling silver napkin ring of waisted cylindrical form with flared upper and lower rims. The exterior body features two parallel bands of engine-turned wavy zigzag decoration set between plain raised borders. The interior and exterior surfaces exhibit natural dark patination and tarnish. The item is struck with British hallmarks to the lower exterior rim including a worn maker’s mark in a rectangular cartouche, the lion passant indicating .925 sterling silver purity, and a date letter in a shield-shaped cartouche, possibly a K or X.
