This lot comprises an assortment of printed art and pop culture ephemera. Included are two mounted prints of buses from watercolour and pastel paintings by Bernard McDermott. The first print depicts a Marshall / Dennis Dart in a green ‘Wear’ livery, and the second depicts an MCW Metrobus in a red and white ‘Express’ livery. Both mounts bear a printed label for Bernard McDermott, Portraits A Speciality, based in the 091 area code. Also included are two further large mounted prints, one featuring a scene from Disney’s 101 Dalmatians with Pongo, Perdita, and puppies, and another depicting a tropical landscape with palm trees.
The collection features music memorabilia including an official The Beatles 1996 Calendar and a John Lennon calendar featuring a large-format black and white portrait to the cover.
The lot is completed by a collection of modern-age comic books from publishers including Top Cow, Marvel, and Image Comics. Notable issues include Battle of the Planets number 1/2 (Wizard Edition) featuring a gold Dynamic Forces (DF) holographic seal, Battle of the Planets number 1, and Paradise X numbers 4 and 9 with cover credits for Krueger, Braithwaite, and Reinhold. Further titles include Marvel Knights and Wildcats. The majority of the comics are individually bagged and boarded.
