A collection of ten antique glass pharmaceutical apothecary bottles of rectangular form, typically used as chemist shop stock bottles. The group consists of mold-blown glass bottles, primarily clear with one bottle exhibiting a light aqua tint. Each vessel features a ground-glass neck with a matching ground-glass stopper. The bottles are finished with black printed text or labels identifying their former contents, including Sol. Ac. Borac. 12 Gr. In 3 i (Solution of Boric Acid); Acid Nitric Dil. (Diluted Nitric Acid); Ol. Citron. (Oil of Citronella or Lemon); Tr. Podophy. B.P.C. (Tincture of Podophyllum); Tr. Catechu. (Tincture of Catechu); Inf. Calumb. Conc. 1 : 7 (Concentrated Infusion of Calumba); Inf. Senega Conc. (Concentrated Infusion of Senega); Tr. Benz. Co. (Compound Tincture of Benzoin), which contains a quantity of reddish liquid residue; and Tr Rhei (Tincture of Rhubarb). One bottle features an applied paper label with orange and black borders for Soln Ferri Et Ammon. Cit. B.P. 1 In 2 (Solution of Iron and Ammonium Citrate). The abbreviations B.P. (British Pharmacopoeia) and B.P.C. (British Pharmaceutical Codex) confirm a United Kingdom origin.
